Newmarket’s Ward 2 consists of the area between Main St and 404 and Davis and Mulock

Voting Information

Voting Eligibility 

You are eligible to vote if you are: 

• a Canadian citizen; and

• at least 18 years old; and

• a resident in Newmarket - Ward 2; or

  • a non-resident of Newmarket - Ward 2, but you or your spouse own or rent property in Newmarket - Ward 2; and

• not prohibited from voting under any law.

Post-Secondary Students

If you are an Newmarket - Ward 2 resident, but are studying in another Ontario municipality, you may be eligible to vote in both municipal elections.

Please use Elections Ontario’s Voter Registration application to confirm, update or add your information.

Identification

Voters require ID but it does not need to include a photo. It only needs to include your name and qualifying address (e.g., driver’s license, utility bill etc). 

Voting Dates and Locations

The Town of Newmarket supports online voting. More information will be shared as soon as it becomes available.

Your Voter Notification Card, which will be mailed to you, will contain these options along with specific voting locations during these periods.
